The DeepShip goes ka-blammo, and Roger's off watching it happen from the outside, perhaps while avoiding asteroids or something. Anyway, as Roger watches the debris, he's sad at first, but then decides to hero up and find out who's responsible. I think. That was the intention behind this piece, anyway.
Blowing up the DeepShip was a way, I think, to free Roger from the confines of his StarCon days and get him out bopping around planets, like the old days. What was going to happen beyond that, I don't know. I never found out. Except for one thing ...
